Join a student group or leadership activity to start honing the skills you’ll need as a human resources professional.
Upon enrollment, you are automatically a member of the Labor and Industrial Relations Association. Students can join two additional groups at the School of Labor and Employment Relations – the Student Society for Human Resource Management and Multicultural Student Association – and more than 1,000 registered student organizations at the University of Illinois.
LER students also find opportunities in advising roles at career centers across campus and through assistantships at Academic Human Resources and University Human Resources.
