It’s that time of year … our scholarship partners are renewing their commitment to our program at LER. The financial aid for our students is an amazing recruiting tool during the admissions process and creates an invaluable resource for students whose goal is to join you as an HR professional.
Beyond the assistance to our School, did you know that becoming a Scholarship Partner at LER boosts your ability to hire the best and brightest from our pool? Typically, over 90% of our Scholarship Partners have secured accepted offers for interns and full-time candidates from our student body. This compares to about 70-75% of accepted offers with our general employer population each year. At this point in the 23-24 recruiting season, 93% of our Scholarship Partners have secured interns and/or full-time candidates, while 58% of our other employers have secured those hires thus far.
LER admits approximately 100 students each year. The top academic achievers in each class are awarded corporate (and alumni) scholarships. Each student aspires to be like our successful alumni and is eager to network as early as they can. Involvement in the scholarship program gives early exposure to the talent in each class at the fall Scholarship Reception. The event allows our partners to meet their corporate scholar, as well as network with the full LER student body. This event is a simple occasion to make an early connection with students and is opportunity to engage potential future employees who will remember your presence and your commitment to their careers and development. In addition, your company will be featured on a classroom plaque, on the LER website, and in a social media takeover with the school.
An annual donation from your organization provides a tuition scholarship to a top student. The average gift of $10,000 provides substantial savings for the student, cutting their education costs by as much as 25%. The minimum donation for participation in this program is $7,500 per school year. Corporate scholarship donors recognize that their financial support at LER is the cornerstone to building successful partnerships and relationships with students.
