The LER December 2023 ceremony will be on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. in Foellinger Great Hall at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, 500 S. Goodwin Avenue, Urbana. A reception will immediately follow in the Krannert Center lobby.
Academic Regalia is required for participation, and students can order their cap and gown through Herff Jones (herrff.ly/illinois) until November 8, 2023, at the discounted rate, starting Monday, September 18. Students will be required to pay for their rental when they place their orders, and regalia will be shipped directly to the address provided at time of order.
Steve Ratner – Commencement Speaker
Steve Ratner is Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer of Mercury Systems. Mercury Systems, a $1 billion dollar company comprised of over 2,400 global team members, uses commercial technology to deliver high-performance processing platforms to Aerospace and Defense customers. Steve, in his role as Chief Human Resources Officer, is responsible for building a world-class environment that attracts, develops, and retains the brightest minds dedicated to the company’s purpose of Innovation that Matters®.
Steve holds a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with honors from the University of Florida.

Accessibility Form for Krannert

All accessible seating will be handled by the venue and this is their form. Please make sure you fill out ASAP, but at least 48 hours prior to the event. Anything later and they cannot guarantee accessible seating.
