Happy To Be Back

The past two years have taken a toll on us all, and we were grateful that remote work and learning was available to keep the School running.

"The best part about being back on campus is meeting all my peers who I've never had the chance to talk to before."

"The best part about being back on campus is my cohort and all of the older cohorts! Everyone has been so warm and welcoming—it's such a great community to be a part of!"

"Having classes in person and seeing people has definitely improved my learning and networking."

Jane Kim

"I actually feel like a student when I'm on campus, being able to make connections with my peers and professors! I decided to come to LER because I want to help companies become as welcoming and diverse as they want to be."

"I'm finally getting to meet all the faculty, staff, and students at the best HR program in the nation!"

Shelby Loomis

1st Semester

"I heard such great things about this program and I really wanted to advance my career after undergrad—I felt like this program was a great fit and place to do that. Getting to see people and interact with them on more than just a computer screen is the most beneficial part about being in person. I also learn better in person, so that's great!"

"I was so looking forward to being part of a community and interacting with people when we finally were back on campus. LER has an amazing reputation for finding the balance of business needs and personal needs."

Kelsey Friis

"I did my research on the best programs for HR before deciding this one was the best fit! The big stress on networking and securing an internship made a huge impact on my decision. For me, the most beneficial part about being on campus is being able to form connections and break down that wall that Zoom sometimes puts up. During COVID semesters, I had a difficult time focusing on whatever I was working on, so being in a classroom around other students focusing is helpful. It's much easier to limit distractions when the professor is a few feet away and everyone around me is wanting to focus as well."

"The most beneficial part about being in person is that you can create more real and more personal connections. I believe that being in-person can allow people to get to know you better and makes the experience so much richer than it would be in virtual format."

Riley Husted

3rd Semester

"The best thing is being back in the classroom. There is such a difference with being in person and seeing your friends versus being completely virtual. It has made this time so much more enjoyable!"

"The program literally has it all! Other programs have the alumni network, the top notch education, or the support from the staff but never everything. You get to learn about your peers and teachers on a deeper level and develop bonds that cannot exist to the same extent over video."

"I just love the HR field and LER is one of the best programs, but definitely the best after getting the full experience. The best part about being back in person is knowing the cohort, for sure — also joining campus events to network and build relationships."
