Shiva Sheikhfarshi is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign. Her research focuses on urban climate governance, climate policy, and geospatial analysis, with a particular emphasis on how data-driven spatial decision support systems can assist local governments in identifying effective and feasible urban heat mitigation interventions under environmental, institutional, and financial constraints.
