Patricia Tabarani is a Ph.D. candidate in Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research examines how workers navigate identity, adjustment, and agency in contemporary organizations, with particular emphasis on liminality, dehumanization, and the organizational consequences of algorithmic management. Drawing on diverse theories, her work advances understanding of how nontraditional workers respond to adverse work contexts and how organizations can design more humane and effective HR systems. Her research has appeared in leading journals, including Group & Organization Management, ILR Review, and the British Journal of Industrial Relations, with multiple additional manuscripts under review. Patricia has taught graduate-level Quantitative Methods, holds formal certificates in college teaching, and brings several years of professional HR experience into an engaged, analytically rigorous teaching approach that connects theory, research, and managerial practice.
