Hesong Yang

Hesong is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with research interests in labor economics, public economics, and applied econometrics. As an applied economist, he studies how labor markets, policies, and the business cycle interact, with a particular interest in employment and wage cyclicality and labor market inequality. He mainly uses causal inference to analyze large data sets and address policy-relevant questions. Outside of work, Hesong enjoys swimming.
