Claudia Montanía

Claudia V. Montanía is a Senior Research Specialist at the Climate Jobs Institute, specializing in the economic impacts of the climate transition on jobs and communities. Her research focuses on regional economics and labor markets, examining how economic shocks and structural shifts ripple through communities and industries across different regions. She holds a PhD in Economics and previously worked at the University of Arizona and the UNDP’s Accelerator Laboratory in Paraguay. A proud Spanish and Guaraní speaker, Claudia is a lifelong math lover and outside of work she’s happiest on a hike or watching a fútbol (soccer) match.
