Responsibilities

Brian supports the full range of career and student services for the School of Labor and Employment Relations.  Some of his duties include serving as the primary contact for prospective and admitted students, assisting with on-boarding of new students during orientations, providing career coaching and professional development for students, advising and coaching students on career placement activities, and serving as an administrator for job postings and on-campus recruiting.

In addition to his School responsibilities he has served on campus-wide career services committees, the Illinois Student Success Initiative Co-curricular committee, and the Experiential Learning committee.  He co-developed a career coaching program for academic advisors and faculty, along with other programs designed to support diverse student populations.

Brian has presented at NASPA, Midwest ACE, NACE, and NCDA on topics related to employer engagement, career development for military connected students, and on his career coaching training program.  In 2015 he co-chaired the Midwest ACE Annual Conference, and has chaired numerous career events at Illinois.
