LEAVE YOUR LEGACY IN THE SODERSTROM PLAZA
The School of Labor and Employment Relations is engaged in an exciting renovation, and we are inviting you to join us by personalizing a brick paver to be installed in the new Soderstrom Plaza, an attractive, open-air space with seating areas for students and faculty to gather, collaborate, and share.
As you know, one of the most valuable rewards of an LER education is the bond our students form with one another – and with faculty – during their time here. In creating the Soderstrom Plaza, we envision a space where those bonds can be built.
We envision the plaza as a place to connect future students with our past, and alumni with our future. It will feature a life-sized bronze sculpture of Reuben Soderstrom, a tribute to the driving force behind the establishment of this School (then known as the Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations) more than 70 years ago. In addition to the statue, the plaza will be paved with commemorative brick pavers.
We invite you to be a part of this vision by personalizing your own brick paver — with your name, or the name of a beloved colleague, graduate, or teacher. A gift of $500 will allow for three lines of text (13 characters per line) on a 4” x 8” brick paver. The second option, an 8” x 8” paver that holds up to six lines of text (13 characters per line), is available for $750. Each message will be inscribed in the center of the paver in upper-case.
All gifts to LER are 100% tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. All messages are subject to University approval before production.
