Expand Your Expertise with LER’s New Data Analytics Concentration
The School of Labor and Employment Relations is pleased to announce a new Human Resources Data Analytics concentration for on-campus Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations (MHRIR) students.
As organizations increasingly rely on data to guide their business decisions, the role of HR professionals is evolving. Today’s HR leaders are not only expected to understand people and workplace strategies but also to analyze data, identify trends, and support informed decision-making. This new concentration is designed to help students develop these valuable skills.
The Human Resources Data Analytics concentration combines the strong foundation in HR and labor relations from the MHRIR program with coursework focused on analytics, technology, and data-driven decision-making. Students will explore topics such as HR analytics, predictive modeling, data visualization, machine learning applications in HR, and financial analysis for HR professionals.
Through this concentration, students will gain hands-on experience with tools and approaches commonly used in the field and learn to communicate data insights effectively to organizational leaders and stakeholders. These skills are increasingly important as companies invest more in people analytics, workforce planning, and strategic HR initiatives.
Additionally, this concentration provides students with an opportunity to customize their MHRIR experience according to their interests and career goals, preparing them for the future of work in an increasingly technology-driven environment.
The Human Resources Data Analytics concentration is available to both continuing and incoming on-campus MHRIR students.
