Graduation is approaching fast, and we are incredibly proud of our fall 2024 graduating class! The LER December 2024 ceremony will be on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. in Foellinger Great Hall at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, 500 S. Goodwin Avenue, Urbana. A reception will immediately follow in the Krannert Center lobby.
Commencement Speaker – Jill Turner
Jill Turner serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President of HR at Broadcom, a global leader in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions. Based in Palo Alto, California, Broadcom ranks among the world’s top 10 largest market cap companies, with over $50 billion in revenue and a workforce of 36,000 globally. In 2023, Jill played a pivotal role in integrating one of the largest technology acquisitions in history—Broadcom’s $61 billion purchase of VMware.
Prior to joining Broadcom in 2021, Jill held senior HR roles at Lumen Technologies, where she led compensation, benefits, HRIS, and employee relations functions, overseeing talent management and change initiatives. She also spent over 14 years with Honeywell, where she joined through their early-career rotational program and progressed through various HR leadership roles including an expatriate assignment for international experience in Europe.
Regalia
Academic Regalia is required for participation, and students can order their cap and gown through Herff Jones (https://colleges.herffjones.com/college/illinois/) until November 14, 2024, at a discounted rate, starting Monday, September 16. Students will be required to pay for their rental when they place their orders, and regalia will be shipped directly to the address provided at the time of order.
